GoogleDocs - Have a Google account?  Awesome.  Their software suite is one of the best on the internet when you look at all of the applications it contains such as Blogger, Google Calendar (which can sync with your smartphone), GoogleEarth, and more.  GoogleDocs contains a way to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations online without having to own Microsoft Office.  You can also collaborate on a document, spreadsheet, or slideshow by allowing a partner or group of partners access to your document.
